The project included cutting approximately 40,000 Tn of material including hard rock from the hill side to create a relatively flat platform, with new retaining walls up to 5m high to 3 site boundaries. The new facility includes 2,800m2 of commercial building space constructed with precast panels and structural steel. The front face of the building is aluminium glazed full height, and the facility has the flexibility to be divided into 3 or 4 individual tenancies. Customer parking area to the front of the building with heavy vehicle / delivery access to the rear of the building.
Despite being significantly delayed due to the presence of hard rock on the site, and an extreme heat wave the project was delivered within program and to the satisfaction of the client. Pike Constructions also coordinated and facilitated the Total Tools fitout works (by others) concurrent to main contract works.
